Computer use is pretty wild. Just got AI to plan, shop and order security for my home that I'll be installing later this week. Even managed to get it cheaper than all the scammy quotes I got from other companies in the last few weeks. Truly the most magical technology.

I'm really interested in this framing of 'AI is an accelerator but not the thesis' - if you're not in the business of releasing models regularly like the big labs, but instead building a product. You should have some other core competency and AI should really accelerate that instead of being the thing you're selling.

I'm noticing a pattern, maybe this is obvious to everyone but it's something I've been seeing again and again. A lot of the 'great products' are always ones where the creators find an initial spark that resonates with people. But the spark isn't enough, they obsessively work super hard at it. They polish out all the kinks, build the integrations, quickly seek out and act on user feedback, re-think flows, make things simpler yet powerful, they just keep at it. And after spending lots and lots of time, going through tons of improvements. The changes start to compound, and at some threshold the product starts to truly becomes a force of nature.
